Should they have stayed…or did George Lucas make the right call? Tonight, Albert and Chris return to Fix It or Order 66 It? and turn their attention to the deleted scenes from Star Wars: Episode I, The Phantom Menace!
We’re digging into the footage left on the cutting-room floor including Anakin’s fight with Greedo, his farewell to Jira, Qui-Gon’s encounter with Darth Maul’s probe droid, the Waterfall Sequence, Dawn Before the Race, the extended Podrace sequences, the Air Taxi scene, and more.
The original 2001 DVD featured seven completed deleted sequences, some of which were partially incorporated into later versions of the film. Which scenes add important character development or fix gaps in the story? Which ones give us a different perspective on Anakin, Qui-Gon and the events on Tatooine? And which ones were absolutely better left on the cutting-room floor?
Albert and Chris watch it all, discuss it all, and include some extra TPM promo videos at the end!
